Sensacionales, o Espirituales?

Judas 1:9 - Pero cuando el arcángel Miguel contendía con el diablo, disputando con él por el cuerpo de Moisés, no se atrevió a proferir juicio de maldición contra él, sino que dijo: El Señor te reprenda!

Han sido muchas las ocasiones donde bajo la euforia y liturgia Pentecostal escuchamos las siguientes frases: “Se Metio Dios”, “Diablo sal fuera”, “Yo Reprendo, Yo Cancelo”, “Yo te Ordeno”, “Tú eres una Amenaza para el Diablo”, entre muchas otras..

Con tan solo reflexionar en estas frases podemos comenzar a sentirnos incómodos y discernir para asi comprobar si verdaderamente estas son para edificación y en acorde con la Biblia. De hecho, quizás en la mente de muchos llegará algun recuerdo sobre esas ocasiones donde hemos pasado al altar a ser ministrados y en vez de sentir el refrigerio del Espíritu Santo de manera orgánica y ordenada, hemos sido influenciados y obligados a reaccionar de acuerdo con los movimientos o frases del predicador. Tristemente, son tantas las ocasiones donde hemos sido empujados al suelo, influenciados a caer o manipulados para llorar, y esto ha provocado que muchos ya no sientan el deseo de ser ministrados en el momento culminante de nuestros servicios. Como Cristianos, todo lo que decimos, y lo que hacemos, puede influenciar tanto para bien como para mal. De igual manera, como Cristianos, todo lo que decimos, y lo que hacemos, será de acuerdo con la Biblia, o en contra de la Biblia. La Biblia es clara, o estamos en acorde con ella, o estamos desafinados. (Término Musical…) 

Como Iglesia y Cuerpo de Cristo, hemos sido asignados a vivir la tarea más importante del universo. Al Señor le plació que podamos ser Su Iglesia y representantes del Cielo en la Tierra. La Gran Comisión, además de ser una Asignación, es un Privilegio. Pues aun sin ser capaces de ejecutar tal vocación por nuestra cuenta, El Señor mismo ha decidido habitar en nosotros para así habilitarnos y guiarnos a cumplir tal propósito. Es por esto que vemos una etapa de preparación en la vida de los Discípulos y Apóstoles. Les tomó tiempo entender el Reino de los Cielos y sus Principios. De tal manera que solo con el descenso del Espíritu Santo fue que lograron ser LLENOS para así operar EN ACORDE con Cristo. Recordemos que para su cultura, existen diferentes religiones que también se basaban en misticismo, emocionalismo, y sobre todo, lo SENSACIONAL, todo aquello que asombraba. Era común ver hombres identificarse como Magos, y con poderes sobrenaturales. Cristo conociendo la cultura, no solo equipó a estos hombres a Ministrar y Servir, sino también a lograrlo correctamente. Nunca en la Biblia vemos a Pablo, a Pedro, utilizar frases como estas, sino que todo lo buscaban hacer y decir, EN EL NOMBRE DE JESÚS, reconociendo que ellos solo eran siervos inútiles, los cuales operaban bajo la Gracia de Dios, y la voluntad de Dios era quien determinaba la Manifestación de Dios sobre Su pueblo. No son nuestras Palabras o Frases las que mueven el Trono de Dios, no es nuestra Influencia, es Su Voluntad, y la Relación y Disposición con la cual el Recipiente decide acercarse al Trono de la Gracia. No es en vano que el autor de Hebreos dice lo siguiente: “Acercaos CONFIADAMENTE al Trono de la Gracia,” La Iglesia se acerca a Dios con Confianza, no con Influencia. Somos Cristianos, o somos Influencers? 

Meditando en esta temática y situación actual de nuestra generación eclesiástica, en especial la juventud, vemos como hemos malinterpretado la Delegación de parte de Cristo a Su Iglesia. Sabemos que el Señor nos ha llamado a la más importante y complicada vocación, ser Cristiano, y pregoneros de las Buenas Nuevas. Sin embargo, en la parte que fallamos, es en la ejecución de tal tarea. Pues hemos adaptado la mentalidad cultural y del pasado donde nuestro YO intenta sobresalir sobre el Nombre de Dios. En muchas ocasiones, tomamos la Autoridad delegada por Dios, y decidimos hacerla nuestra, colocando al Hombre en el Trono y el lugar que solo corresponde a Dios. Si amados, es muy cierto, el Señor claramente ha derramado Su Espíritu sobre toda carne, para ser LLENOS, para poder operar en el Nombre de Cristo, para cumplir la Gran Comisión, para realizar señales, prodigios y milagros como a Dios plazca, sin embargo, es importante recordar, que El Señor ha delegado Autoridad a la Iglesia, pero no Su Señorío. Dios no comparte Su SEÑORÍO con nadie, pero sí ha compartido de Su Poder, para así también operar en el mundo espiritual. Donde solo Dios puede capacitar al hombre, para entender lo abstracto, lo invisible, aquello que va más allá de nuestro cuerpo. La intención con la cual operamos, es mayormente correcta, sin embargo, nuestra ejecución, no ha sido la mejor, pues hemos colocado un YO, dónde deberíamos colocar El Nombre de Dios

Es por esta razón, por la cual vemos este tipo de frases mayormente acompañadas por un YO antes de mencionarla, y al estudiar la Porción de Base, junto a muchos otros versos Bíblicos, vemos como cada Ministro nunca se atrevió a tomar el lugar de Dios, pues Suya es la Gloria, pero también la Autoridad, y solo ante El, es que los demonios tiemblan. Las tinieblas no tiemblan ante nuestras Palabras, sino ante la Gloria de Dios. Por eso con tan solo Cristo llegar a aquella Isla donde se encontraba el Gadareno, los demonios comenzaron a temblar, y pensar su futuro castigo. Nadie tuvo que ejecutar una Palabra, Cristo ni siquiera había hablado, y ya las potestades estaban temblando. Muchas veces queremos Hablar, cuando solo necesitamos que Cristo esté Presente. No es nuestra elocuencia, no es nuestra fraseología ni liturgia Pentecostal la que vence las Tinieblas, es simplemente el Nombre y la Presencia de Aquel que es Todopoderoso. Por eso el Arcangel Miguel no utilizó su YO, aun siendo un Ángel, un ser mayor a nosotros, ni siquiera intentó atribuir Gloria a su Ser, sino que entendió que él solo tenía que Mencionar el Nombre. Pues el Nombre de Cristo, es un Nombre sobre todo nombre, no está compuesto de letras ni vocales, sino de Todo el Poder, y Toda Potestad. Cristo tiene Todo el Poder, pero también Toda la Potestad. 

Somos llamados a creer en el Poder el Espíritu Santo, en orar por el enfermo y el cautivo, está muy bien que hagamos nuestros llamados al culminar los servicios, está muy bien que prediquemos Carismática y Organizadamente, siempre y cuando no coloquemos nuestra liturgia, nuestro talento, nuestro YO, en el lugar que solo corresponde a Dios. No podemos Operar en dos Nombres al mismo tiempo, si queremos ver los Milagros y Señales, y ser efectivos en el Mundo Espiritual, comencemos volviendo a darle a Dios el lugar que Él merece. 

Nuestro YO no puede estar Sentado en un Trono, tiene que estar Sujetado a una Cruz!

¡O somos Sencionales, o somos Espirituales!

Judas 1:9 - But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not himself dare to condemn him for slander but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”

There have been many occasions where under the Pentecostal euphoria and liturgy we hear the following phrases: “God just entered the Place,” “Devil come out,” “I Rebuke, I Cancel,” “I Command you,” “You are a Threat to the Enemy.”, among many others..

By simply reflecting on these phrases, we can begin to feel uncomfortable and discern to see if these are truly for edification and in accordance with the Bible. Perhaps in the minds of many there will come a memory about those occasions where we have come forward to be ministered and instead of feeling the refreshment of the Holy Spirit in an organic and orderly way, we have been influenced and forced to react according to the movements or phrases of the preacher. Sadly, there are so many times where we have been pushed to the ground, influenced to fall, or manipulated into crying, and this has caused many to no longer feel the desire to be ministered to at the height of our services. As Christians, everything we say, and what we do, can influence both good and bad. Likewise, as Christians, everything we say, and everything we do, will be in accordance with the Bible, or against the Bible. The Bible is clear, either we are in agreement with it, or we are out of tune. (Musical Term…)

As the Church and Body of Christ, we have been assigned to live the most important task in the universe. It pleased the Lord that we could be His Church and representatives of Heaven on Earth. The Great Commission, in addition to being an Assignment, is a Privilege. Even without being able to execute such a vocation on our own, the Lord himself has decided to dwell in us in order to enable and guide us to fulfill that purpose. This is why we see a stage of preparation in the life of the Disciples and Apostles. It took them time to understand the Kingdom of Heaven and its Principles. In such a way that only with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit they were able to be FILLED in order to operate IN ACCORDANCE with Christ. Let us remember that for their culture, there were different religions that were also based on mysticism, emotionalism, and above all, the SENSATIONALISM, everything that was focused on being amazed. It was common to see men identify themselves as Wizards, and with supernatural powers. Christ knowing the culture, not only equipped these men to Minister and Serve, but also to do so correctly. Never in the Bible do we see Paul, Peter, use phrases like these, but they sought to do and say everything, IN THE NAME OF JESUS, recognizing that they were only useless servants, who operated under the Grace of God, and the God's will was what determined the Manifestation of God upon His people. It is not our Words or Phrases that move the Throne of God, it is not our Influence, it is His Will, and the Relationship and Disposition with which the Recipient decides to approach the Throne of Grace. It is not in vain that the author of Hebrews says the following: “Approach WITH CONFIDENCE the Throne of Grace,” The Church approaches God with Confidence, not with Influence. Are we Christians, or are we Influencers?

Meditating upon this topic and current situation of our ecclesiastical generation, especially the youth, we see how we have misinterpreted the Delegation on behalf of Christ to His Church. We know that the Lord has called us to the most important and complicated vocation, to be Christians, and to be preachers of the Good News. However, where we fail is in the execution of such task. We have adapted the cultural and past mentality where our SELF tries to stand out above the Name of God. On many occasions, we take the Authority delegated by God, and decide to make it our own, placing Man on the Throne and the place that only corresponds to God. Yes, beloved, it is very true, the Lord has clearly poured out His Spirit upon all flesh, to be FILLED, to be able to operate in the Name of Christ, to fulfill the Great Commission, to perform signs, wonders and miracles as God pleases, however, it is important to remember that The Lord has delegated Authority to the Church, but not His Lordship. God does not share His LORDSHIP with anyone, but He has shared His Power, in order to also operate in the spiritual world. Where only God can enable man to understand the abstract, the invisible, that which goes beyond our body. The intention with which we operate is mostly correct, however, our execution has not been the best, since we have placed our SELF, where we should be placing The Name of God.

It is for this reason that we see these types of phrases mostly accompanied by an I before mentioning them, and when we study the Biblical portion above, along with many other Bible verses, we see how each Minister never dared to take the place of God for His is the Glory, but also the Authority, and only before Him are the demons trembling. Darkness does not tremble before our Words, but before the Glory of God. That is why with only Christ reaching that Island where the Gadarene was, the demons began to tremble and think about their future punishment. No one had to execute a Word, Christ had not even spoken, and they were already trembling. Many times we want to Talk, when we only need Christ to be Present. It is not our eloquence, it is not our Pentecostal phraseology or liturgy that conquers the Darkness, it is simply the Name and Presence of Him who is Almighty. That is why Archangel Michael did not use his SELF, even though he was an Angel, a being greater than us, he did not even try to attribute Glory to his Being, but rather he understood that he only had to Mention the Name. For the Name of Christ is a Name above every name, it is not composed of letters or vowels, but of All Power, and All Power. Christ has All Power, but also All Power.

We are called to believe in the Power of the Holy Spirit, to pray for the sick and the captive, it is very good that we make our callings at the end of the services, it is very good that we preach Charismatically and in an Organized way, as long as we do not place our liturgy, our talent, our SELF, in the place that only belongs to God. We cannot Operate in two Names at the same time, if we want to see Miracles and Signs, and be effective in the Spiritual World, let's start by giving God the place He deserves.

We need to remove our SELF from a Throne, and reposition it on a Cross.

Either we are Sensational, or we are Spiritual!
